I need to be more like Audrey.......
I just need to relaaaaaaax! This cat is something else. This is her...all day! I do not think I will be relaxing any time soon though. With only 2 days until our summer break, I will actually have some spare time and I have lots to do before we head out to get our little angel ( no dates yet, just getting ready). I "know" that it is not really important that the linen closets and kitchen cupboards be cleaned out and re-organized but for some reason it seems verrrry important . So my to do list begins. In fact that is the first thing I need to do...make a to do list! I am thinking of starting a preliminary packing list. To those of you who have BTDT or have heard good advice from those who have BTDT I am looking for ideas on what people took that wasn't really necessary or didn't take that they wished they had.
It has been one week since we saw our little angel's face. I hope this time fly's by quickly (another good reason to stay busy) I just want to hold my baby.

Your cat sleeps like mine! I totally get what you are talking about. I don't have the referral yet but as soon as we decided to adopt I felt the need to "nest" closets, pantries, the bathroom cabinets you name it. Good luck with everything it is one way to pass the time while you wait.

Touch my belly and I will grant your wish.
Nesting is what it is, go with it...keeps your mind off things and it'll be awhile until you get the chance to do it again!
I was very glad I took different types of nipples (fast, slow, and tri-cut), teething meds, immodium, pepto, extra bibs, hats for the girls, baby carriers, computer for communicating home, cold meds (my sinuses went bezerk in the new climate), and baby nail scissors.
Didn't use the snacks I brought (loved the food there), books (with the exception of the place I didn't have time ot read), lacto-free formula (though you might still bring it as you can't find it over there, soy but no lacto free), and I sent home the fancy clothes with Brian when he came home as they were really much more comfortable in sleepers and such like they were used to.
My advice for babie's smooth transition would be do whatever you can to keep things from changing too much for them. Keep them on their formula a week or more, keep to their schedule, try to dresst hem similar to what they were dressed in. They are going through a big change, and the little things can help to ease them a bit.
Now, hurry up travel approval!
I'm hoping you get your date quickly too...I can't imagine how anxious you are!
I'm a blog surfer, as I'm starting our own journey, and I love reading others' process, as well as seeing pics, makes it all the more real! Looks like you'll have a new baby in the house just as your older kids are heading back to school! How exciting!
LOVE the cat! Now if we all could just relax like that... Big time nesting at our house, too! There's no way we'll have any time for that after our sweet babies come home. We'll be way too busy loving and snuggling them to care about neat closets and pantries. Hoping for the travel calls for us all!
