One week down.....
It is hard to believe that a week ago we were waiting to see our angel for the first time. It has been a memorable week. One that I will never forget.
We are so very thankful for the obvious care she received at the orphanage where she spent the first 3 months of her life. This child has been held and loved, and played with there is no doubt about that. We were able to meet one of her caregivers and it was apparent how much she loved our little girl. A memory I will always have is of us standing outside with the babies getting ready to take them away from the only home and faces they have known. Several of the caregivers had gathered up on a balcony to watch us. The caregiver we had met kept hollering out, our translaor said "she wants you to move closer, more where she can see your baby" so I moved and she starts saying something our guide tells us she is saying"that is my baby"over and over. He says she is making a joke. I know this not to be true ,because through her smiles I saw her wiping the tears from her eyes. She loved this child.I have only spent 6 days with her and I cannot imagine not holding her and loving her everyday.

She is so adorable!! Isn't it great to know that they were well cared for? It made me feel so much better to know that Lucy's first 5 months were full of love and affection.
She is just amazing! I'm so glad things are going smoothly for you in VN. I'm loving all the pictures, and I can't wait for more!
